Recon Network Defense Range
Threat hunting on live infrastructure with real attacks
"We do not rise to the level of our expectations, we fall to the level of our training"
Recon Network Defense Range (NDR)
Recon NDR is a blue team defense range that is as close to "the real thing" as it gets. This isn’t just another CTF. We’ve built this platform to train real-world responders to handle real-world situations. Our environment is a highly portable, fully functional replication of an enterprise environment, complete with all the trimmings - Active Directory, Exchange, distributed networks, various sensors, log aggregation, end-user simulation, and more.
Your team, your range.
The Recon NDR consists of live network infrastructure that can be tailored to reflect your environment, real attack scenarios chosen to be most relevant, and a full set of threat hunting tools to facilitate anything from log searches to advanced analytics. We configure, spin-up, host, and provide live support for events you design to meet specific learning objectives such as improve APT awareness, build skills, enhance teamwork, or test effectiveness.
What participants have to say
“Awesome setup, great job!”Kevin F.
“This is my first time doing anything like this, besides our real time scenarios. I loved it. Hopefully, I can do it again.”Marq H.
“Eric & team did an excellent job setting this up.”Lee A.
“Great game, I came in with little direct experience but was able to do well. I enjoyed the game and learned a lot as well. Highly recommended! Please do more of these. Also your staff was excellent! ”Jon B.
“I loved this. This was my first blue team CTF type game and actually the very first CTF I've ever participated. I made 2nd place, but you better believe 1st place is mine next year!”Matthew T.
“This is a fantastic training tool. I would love to have something like this to help train analysts in my own shop, as the tools that are used are those that we implement as well. I put the difficulty at 6, I feel it was a good level for most analysts. I think it would have been cool to have some higher difficulty bonus questions for the seasoned pros though.”Jeff R.
